The Municipality of Xanthi in collaboration with the Municipal Water Supply and Sewerage Company of Xanthi, as partners and key contributors of the project "Joint Water Resources Management System for Long-term Efficiency" with acronym WRESTLE organized on Friday, November 4, 2022 at 11 a.m.  at the City Hall of Xanthi the local information event of the project in order to inform the local community and stakeholders about the results of the project, as well as about the dissemination of its achievements.

The main objective of the water monitoring system installed in DEYAX is to minimize misuse and waste of water resources or leakages and to prevent unforeseen failures of the existing system that lead to huge waste, on an annual basis.
The Mayor of Xanthi, Manolis Tsepelis, thanked the president of DEYAX, Ι. Kamaridis, the executives and all the employees of the Municipality, "who worked to activate this cooperation", with which, as he stressed, "today, we have an Action Plan for the sustainable management of water in our region".

He referred to the planning of the municipal authority, which "solves chronic problems of the place, reforming the city and the settlements with quality infrastructure for water supply, with projects, such as those included in the program of the Ministry of Interior "Antonis Tritsis", amounting to 14,500,000 euros, in order to create conditions of sustainable development, which upgrade the quality of life of our fellow citizens - which is our primary goal".
On the part of the president of DEYAX, he noted that the program was approved in 2017, but "ran" during the administration of Manolis Tsepelis, emphasizing that it was used to present, today, "tangible results for the Municipality of Xanthi".
There are three local control stations of  DEYAX. Two of them give the instantaneous flow, the total flow and the pressure of the pipeline, while the third can also give elements of the composition of the water, such as chlorine, ph and its conductivity.

The advantages of this system are the wireless data transmission from the 100 smart water meters, the systematic monitoring of errors and especially critical ones, the hydrometer errors page, the base management page, statistics and comparisons and the page with interactive map for the registration of new water meters.

Respectively, consumers have the opportunity to see through the application for the customer - consumer, all the details about the daily average consumption, but also to be notified respectively about the errors. DEYAX has the ability to know at any time and time, the total daily, weekly or even monthly total consumption, the consumption per citizen consumer and to draw basic conclusions and comparative data, per day, week or more days.
