DEYAA, who is the Lead Beneficiary of project “WRESTLE”, successfully organized an online event on 01/12/2021 via zoom. A big number of people attended the event that showed high levels of interest regarding the sustainable water resources management.

Mr. Charalampos Michaelidis, Vice President of the Board of DEYAA, as well as Ms. Kyriaki Chamouratidou, General Manager of DEYAA, welcomed all participants. DEYA of other cities were among the participants. Mr. Michaelidis focused on the importance of the project as well as the partnership and their contribution. Ms. Chamouratidou referred to the significance of the project especially in Alexandroupolis, as many issues arise during the winter.

Following this, Ms. Maria Amountzia, External Expert of DEYAA, presented the project, the implemented activities and its results. Mr. Michael Psallidas, External Expert of DEYAA, presented and analyzed the joint monitoring system developed in the cross border area of Greece-Bulgaria. Last, Mr. Christos Kakalis, Director of Environment Service - Water Resources Management - Quality Control, extensively presented the challenges in the field of water as well as DEYAs’ role in this phenomenon.
